Yesterday, I watched the movie 'TAKEN' with my friend.

This is now one of my favorite movies.

I love action movies because I can watch unrealistic action and it is exciting!!!!

I think action movies need a big sound and image effects to attract people.

This movie is not just an action movie but it contains some social problems.

I hate horror movies and I can not understand

why some people love it.

Why do I hate horror movies and what effects

do the movies have on me?

Horror uses a lot of effects, such as image and audio style.

First, they need to use dark images. Horror movies always have a dark background, never

have images such as a good smile and laughing voice.

Second, they use realistic sound effects. Sound is one of the important to express horror and

a fearful mood.

I hate the horror sound.

Do you know "The Grudge"?

This is a Japanese horror movie.

In this movie, they use a lot scary sound effects such as "ziziziziziziz."

After I hear this sound, it makes me scared.

Horror movie contains a lot of elements.

These movie can be a 'horror' film or a 'mystery' film or a 'science fiction' film.

Horror movies are not just "scary" but also psychological. They figure out generic elements and

efficiently use a lot of elements.

Horror is one of the excellent genres, so I have to regard them as good movies.

However, I can not watch them just by myself.

Representation and Stereotyping

It happens sometimes that media gives us particular image, and thought.

One news story is a good example.


One day, an excellent family's child killed their family.

The police asked 'Why did you kill your family?'

The child did not answer.


After that, the media started to guess about the family.

First, they asked the neighborhood.

The neighborhood said the whole family graduated from one of the famous university and the

child felt pressure.

Finally, the media reported that they did not talk to the child.



This is one of the examples of repesentation and stereotyping.

The media gives us their thoughts without any reasons.

When the media can not get enough imformation, they sometimes fix their ideas for the sake of

convenience.

So, we have to check the fact and we do not have to trust everything.

Last weekend

I had a awesome weekend.

Last Saturday, I went to snowboard with having a hangover. That's not awesome.

So, I almost slept in morning.

After I ate hotdog, and then I threw up. That's sweet.

Finally, I felt better. That's terrific.

I had a great time.

Last Sunday, I met Blue Man.

They have all blue faces. It's ghastly.

The show was very entertainment.

I think U.S. has great entertainment show, like concert and show.

I love American things.
